Project Canceled (November 2008)

Tervelox, Inc. is conducting research, which was originally designed to develop a system to allow robots to perform proper speech grammar.  The technology would use microprocessors to run algorithms to integrate artificial intelligence with proper grammar to communicate with people.  It turns out that the technology may help people that have to many things on their mind to remember things more effectively.

Generally, as we learn, we are taught words in elementary school and as we move through education from K-12 we are given more sophisticated spelling words to improve our ability to read, write and communicate meanings.  During this time, our minds store the information in different locations in the brain and are connected through neural networks comprising of axons and dendrites (the connecting function between brain cells).  The electronic configuration of information in our minds works similar to capacitors, which consist of cellular membranes separating potassium, sodium and chloride ions which perform the conduction of our thoughts.  Compared to the speed of light, this electronic network is relatively slow, but compared with our communication from hearing and speaking our thoughts, it is very fast allowing us to think and respond in what seems to us to be instantaneous.

During the process of communication or reading, our minds search through our memory for the meaning of what we hear or read.  But since we learned the words at different times and since the words are stored in different locations in our minds, if we don’t have a direct link to the words in the order we hear or read them, then we introduce a path of brain cells that must route to the appropriate brain cell in order to interpret the information causing us to think about everything in those other brain cells during the path to interpretation.

If for example, a simple home electronics system was built consisting of three short range signals broadcast to a robot that runs on wheels (like a kind of toy) allowing the system to detect it’s position in a home it could be designed with sensors to develop it’s learning ability.  If it had mechanical sensors or even a pair of infra red LED and detector to sense that something was in its path, it could log a sense associated with its memory to indicate that it would hurt to hit an object that it encounters.

So if you had a remote control for your TV that also had a beverage listing that communicated to the robot that you would like to have a glass of water delivered to you it could either run into furniture or deliver the water successfully.  The sensor would log either bad if it ran into something or good if it delivered the water and returned to base successfully.

This form of artificial intelligence and learning curve for the robots systems could mimic the mind to some extent.  The importance of this would be that if you moved some furniture around, the robot could learn to adjust on it’s own over time.  The robot would have a link between (or connected) it’s position and if it came to furniture or successfully delivered the water.

This was the initial design intention; however, it turns out that this can also be used to help our memory from the concept of communication.  Let’s say for example that you are writing a book and you have writers block.  Or that you are at work and just completed a task and are looking for what to do next.  Or even you told yourself that you needed to remember something and forgot what it was.  This technology can help you and we encourage you to try it on a regular basis.

If you have additional information regarding this technology, we would like to hear from you.  Please feel free to give it a try and let us know if this helps you.  Click this link to try this system everyday at let us know if it actually improves your life.
